Bus Blues
on October 8th, 2009, by nathanBefore I flew over to Amsterdam to start work on Durian, I traveled a bit to visit friends and family. While in California a friend of mine from college, Sean Kraft, and I made this short film:

Sean did all of the editing and effects work. I basically just acted stupid in front of the camera.

I find this short subject to be symbolic of the Nanny State and how by reducing the freedoms of others, in this case preventing the crossing of the street, one ends up destroying one’s own individuality.
And Nathan gets hit by a bus!

Although it was a bit weird that the bus portrayed as the one about to hit the guy across the street (the one with the bicycle on the front) was actually the one that hit you

Well as long we don’t see it too many times…
unless it was intentional made with that purpose.
…then you note that the bus must be a ghost bus… or a dimension jumper
I also found strange when Nathan looks the first time for the bus, I would film it from Nathans point of view, instead it looks that it’s filmed from the distracted walker point of view… this confuses a little the brain
…Anyway I maintain the previous opinion
