September 28th, 2010 at 14:44
there is an Idea…I´ve read it in an Interview…but I forgot the name…
September 28th, 2010 at 14:46
Nice pic, Mike! (I met Mike, nice guy!)
It was really really really great!
The idea in a human’s mind is in fact small, but seeing it with such epicness on a big screen makes you realize that a good idea isn’t small when you have the needs to make it big and epic, in which you, Durianers, succeeded CUM LAUDE!
Ton has found the perfect way of combining traditional studio work and involving an internet community!
I’m really pissed off I didn’t ask Ton anything about project Mango…. AAAAAAAARGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!
@Ton:
What happened in Rembrandt doesn’t need words, indeed, but what happened at the party… enough juicy details…
September 28th, 2010 at 14:48
Congratulations, this is awesomeness!!
And happy planning for Mango.
Now get the thing online and sent
September 28th, 2010 at 14:53
@J. that was it´s name! Project Mango…right.
Please, can´t you send it today? pleeeeeease?
Ok, I know it´s useless.
Are you going to make another countdown to the online release at least?
September 28th, 2010 at 14:59
Congrat’s, great job !
September 28th, 2010 at 15:06
Dunno yet, isn’t more a surprise if it just happens? or would it hurt your F5 on your keyboard of so much pressing?
September 28th, 2010 at 15:07
no, but it may hurt the server…
September 28th, 2010 at 15:08
congratulations,
This has been along wait, with many cokes, sandwiches, renders and migraines consumed.
We all can now relax.
September 28th, 2010 at 15:13
Hope to see a good copy at the Bconf. And chat with the makers too.
Another viewing for dutchies is at thursday 30-09 19:30 :
http://www.filmfestival.nl/nl/films/sintel
( btw Esther needs to get a proper cred of the nff site )
Now a 3d version (-:
September 28th, 2010 at 15:17
Click on image now gives a larger quality version. Thanks Mike!
September 28th, 2010 at 15:26
where’s Angela ?
September 28th, 2010 at 15:29
Clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap…
Clap.
Clap clap.
Congratulations! You’re great!
September 28th, 2010 at 15:38
@Ton:
What print stock has been used for the 35mm print?
Kodak 2393? Because the colors were very saturated.
September 28th, 2010 at 15:39
Can’t say it often enough:
Thanks Brecht! We will miss you. You are an awesome dude!
September 28th, 2010 at 15:41
For the next project (I’ll assume it’s called Mango) maybe you could expand on Sintel’s universe. Or follow Sintel before or after what happened in Sintel.
Yes, I can see it now! Sintel II! Or Sintel -1.
Not that I’ve seen it yet, I don’t know how it started or ended.
Or maybe you already have an idea.
(Then again, the to-be game already builds on Sintel’s universe, doesn’t it?)
September 28th, 2010 at 15:42
where is angela? where is campbell? and why are lee and colin standing apart? :p
September 28th, 2010 at 15:46
For the completeness: not on premiere were durian members Angela, Nathan, Ben, Campbell, David, Jean-Sebastien, Joe, …. flying in everyone for a few days is insane expensive. Disadvantage of large teams
David will be on Blender Conference though, and I’ll find cool ways to support the others for trips to festivals or conferences too.
September 28th, 2010 at 15:48
horace don’t forget to ask ‘where is nathan?’.
sounds like you had a great premiere yesterday, now the whole community is looking forward to the online release
September 28th, 2010 at 15:49
ton was faster
September 28th, 2010 at 15:55
Congratulations!!
I’m eagerly waiting for the online release
Also thumbs up for making things with blender (go blender). We’re making our content with blender too! (Although game content a bit different from rendered movie content
)
September 28th, 2010 at 15:58
wooooooow congratulations durian team and thanks all of you
September 28th, 2010 at 15:58
Congratulations to everyone and to Ton and the dev team all around the world!
September 28th, 2010 at 16:01

Dat de volgende film nóg beter mag zijn, toch?
September 28th, 2010 at 16:08
Where is Angela Guenette?
September 28th, 2010 at 16:16
Read Ton’s post.
September 28th, 2010 at 16:20
Wunderbar!
September 28th, 2010 at 16:30
I was there at the premiere and after-party, yesterday; had a hell of a time and can only confirm what’s been stated earlier: it was a wonderful event!
A small render for Blender; a great render-job for the Blender-Community!
Forwards and onwards to the Blender Conference with talks about Sintel to look forward to
From there…. what *will* the next blender project be ? Plans for a Sintel game exist, or is the BI going to prefer doing another movie instead ?
Ah, the things to look forwards to.

Thx for noticing the name thing on the NFF site, sweet of you

@Joeri: I agree

September 29th, 2010 at 02:31
Congratulations!!!
I am looking forward to see the release..
September 29th, 2010 at 02:36
@Esther:
Well, I don’t think it’s that bad, living in Holland for a long time makes you very down to earth!
That was so nice on the party, when you talk to the Durianers you hear their culture in the way they talk, really!
Btw, Lee could even spoke a few sentences of clearly understandable Dutch, well done! (since Dutch grammar makes no sense in many cases, even when you live here for many years you often still make mistakes in every conversation)
September 29th, 2010 at 03:46
Where the voice actors invited? Don’t they live there?
September 29th, 2010 at 03:53
1 day ’til online release! -i don’t want countdowns but hell i’d do the countdown for ya! Lol

September 29th, 2010 at 07:31
Congratulations everyone. It’s been a long hard year I’m sure, and I’m confident this is just the beginning of good things to come. On a side note; my 12 year son has been after me to order him a T-shirt ever since he seen them on the blog site, so he can wear it to school. After telling him countless times it’s not available yet, I clicked on the blender store tonight, and Walla it’s now available! He’s happy, and we both are waiting anxiously for the online release.
September 29th, 2010 at 08:09
It happened!
Can’t wait for the online release, considering writing a little script to do it for me within ~30 seconds of release. Only problem is getting the right torrent file.
September 29th, 2010 at 09:31
Congrats, everyone! I can’t wait for the online release tomorrow and the DVD release. I’ve been talking Sintel up to a bunch of people and I’m looking forward to showing it to them all!

# J. Says:
September 28th, 2010 at 23:20
It’s very simple:
ED makes you: WTF?
BBB: makes you laughing
Sintel makes you… speechless!
Hmmm…
** This comment might contain spoilers **
I think the animation in Sintel is very good, but the story did not impress me too much. Maybe they fixed stuff that might have put me on the wrong foot, like the color of her hair and the wrinkles in her face.
Also… Being a Martin story I expected a Roodhaar type of Sintel. I now understand it went a little different. I can only guess how the dynamics of that have worked, but I think Colin wanted more soil under his feet than a Storm ( comic ) writer would want to give. It no crit about the dialog, I think the dialog is good, interesting and conveying the story. The story, or plot so you will, puzzles about “what I have learned”, as a dad I cannot relate to Sintel. But maybe that’s just me, although my dad could not relate eighter.
The part that disappointed me the most was the editing. I guess its nice raw and crued for a reason, but for a short its hard to get into the Sintel world as a cruel world.
For instance the time-pass sequence… I think Pixar did that amazing in Up with mr Fredricksen kept in frame and the scene morphing and fading around him… I saw more creative cg solutions for story telling lately, I miss them in BF shorts. There seems to be loads of focus on mimicking camera faults like blur an glows etc. and less on using the fact that you have total control on light, camera, framing, and actors. On one end the story tries to be all “new” “innovating” and stuff, but on the other hand the story telling ( the filming ) tries to be as much “hollywood 35mm camera” as possible…
Thats okay, first know how to do it correct before stepping away from it is good I guess. Van Gogh made traditional pictures before going wild on sunflowers. (-:
Dispite people trying to kill Sintel for no apparent reason ( not explained at all ), it’s still a rather unpopulated country that’s relative safe to live in. Not like in “how to train your dragon” where its obvious from minute one what the roles of Dragons are in that world. So to me ED was easier to understand, just two drifters stuck in the chaos of their minds… For Sintel it’s rather more bizar with ifs and thens that are not obvious and more obscure. At least to me.
BBB did not make me laugh. But yeah,… might be me. Becker makes me laugh, and Spin City, House MD too, so I guess its the kind of humor. I loved the colors of BBB. ED was to glowy for me and Sintel was amazing although maybe a little flat ( might be because I only went to stereo lately and at home I have a AmbiLed )
But I think its a big leap forward again, better in production values, although I understand the struggles where bigger than from previous productions.
Makes me feel confident that one day the BF might even get to create a feature. That would be very amazing. Ridley started at 50 so there is still time Ton!
Can’t wait to see the final version and hope to torture loads of the team at the Bconf.
September 29th, 2010 at 10:31
You’re so mean!
Not releasing! Not even telling when for already one day!

September 29th, 2010 at 15:02

September 29th, 2010 at 17:19

September 29th, 2010 at 18:15

September 29th, 2010 at 18:23
congratulations to everybody!
September 29th, 2010 at 19:07
thank you very much to every one of you guys for this awesome project… congrats!
September 29th, 2010 at 19:30
Congrats dudes, it’s been one heck of a journey!
Now go and get some sleep
September 29th, 2010 at 20:03
I cannot believe it! there was noone with a handcam or something on the premiere to take some shoots from the movie and share it!
… I hate you guys… do you want us to go sick of this wait
LOL, but again, love and hate go together, you are the best!
September 29th, 2010 at 20:13
Capturing the beauty of the 35mm print with a camcorder? IMPOSSIBLE!
September 29th, 2010 at 20:22
Wait, so it’s coming sooner?!
Really can’t wait..
September 29th, 2010 at 20:32
One serious question:
Whats going on with the translations?
Some time ago it’s been mentioned here that there will be subtitles for several languages.
Will these be there at the online release? O will these be done by “the comunity”, (us)?
If so: will there be an “official” english template?
September 29th, 2010 at 20:42
@maddes: I kept dialogue minimal so that the images/action would tell all… The dialogue that IS in the film is in English, and we so far have several different translations – incl some extra cool ones. Wait for it…
September 29th, 2010 at 20:46
Wow, I’m looking forward to tomorrow. I am so exited
September 29th, 2010 at 20:50
This is downright teasing…stop it….ok if you must
September 29th, 2010 at 20:53
Of course you could release it now, whilst im about to eat a curry and drink some beer?
September 29th, 2010 at 21:05
@Esther: “– incl some extra cool ones. Wait for it…
”
Including the dialogues which have not been told yet? “P
September 29th, 2010 at 21:07
Maybe translations in Dragonish?
September 29th, 2010 at 21:21
He means Quena, Sindarin, and Klingonese.

September 29th, 2010 at 22:30
Just one question: Should we Europeans stay up all night refreshing our browsers, or will it be uploaded by tomorrow morning?
September 29th, 2010 at 22:32
Pig Latin was my first language, so that would be very helpful to me.
September 29th, 2010 at 22:33
ok guys it time to be honest here. isnt your keyboard dirty except for F5 looool
September 29th, 2010 at 23:17
Hi all,
The release will probably be early evening netherlands time (come back at UTC 18 or so). We still need to fix up some last stereo sound stuff in mp4. Now go to bed!
-Ton-
September 29th, 2010 at 23:27
Thanks for information. I would stay here all night
I wish you luck in fixing sound
September 29th, 2010 at 23:31
Thanx Ton! I would stay up all night too.
September 29th, 2010 at 23:38
What with all the deadlines, peoples hopes, the premiers, dvd releases interviews, on going development I pretty sure you should shut down the office at the end of the month for a week and do some recharging.
Im knackered just watching from a distance. I bet Colin got some nice jet lag to go with the hangover.
I hope theres no Red Bull going around the office

Hah, awesome comments guys! Uhh, just a little food for thought: In my experience, the higher my expectations of a film, the more likely I’ll be disappointed. Most of the times I’ve obsessed about a film I’ve been totally underwhelmed by the reality of it.
So… temper your enthusiasm!
Expect absolute crap, and you’ll be blown away!
–Colin
(Also Joeri67, I appreciate the criticism.)
September 30th, 2010 at 00:09
Most disappointing will be that I can’t shake your hand and have a drink after the film now.
Colin, is Joeri’s critisism justified?
)
I can’t imagine! (I also have some questions about the story, but these are for tomorrow
September 30th, 2010 at 00:18
@collin
Why didn’t you inform us earlier? Now i’m all high and excited! I’m counting seconds, actually. It’s the release date! Woohoo!
September 30th, 2010 at 00:42
It’s a shame that so many are gonna watch it on a small computer screen.
Believe me, in 35mm on a big screen… KICK ASS!
September 30th, 2010 at 01:15
i doubt ill be watching it more that 10 times.
September 30th, 2010 at 01:20
Congratulations everyone. Thanks for all the time/hard work you put into the film. Blender has grown leaps and bounds the last few years!
@Colin lol, thanks for the perspective
September 30th, 2010 at 01:39
I gotta say Colin my expectation about the film is based on past videos from the Blender Foundation.
If its an improvement of the animated Duck shown in one of the later videos from the BF then all will not be in vain. Speaking of which……whos taken home the Duck?

September 30th, 2010 at 03:22
@esther,
I hope Esperanto is one of them! D:
That was the very first reason I started leaving messages with this project.
September 30th, 2010 at 04:41
Uhm. I hope next time all the expenses needed to have a united team at a premiere will be taken in consideration. I understand it’s very expensive but I think all the members who worked hard for the movie have the right to receive their glory! I can’t imagine the Durian team without Nathan, Ben and Campbell! Money is always short, I know, but this is the celebration of the final work!
September 30th, 2010 at 05:29
@Colin
The expectations are high because of what has already been presented on this site. Time and Time again, when the Durian team has released teasers, I have been totally amazed at the quality. Then the early comments came in on how the movie grabs you, and it brings back memories of the first time I watch one of your early shorts “Suburban Plight” and thought, yes Colin directed this one he has a knack for doing this. Ton has already proven he knows how to pick his team, and the durian team has shown they know what they’re doing by all ready released teasers. So I guess we already know this is going to be good, the only questions is how great! And in a few hours the rest of the world well also know!
September 30th, 2010 at 06:23
Hey congratulations!! It’s already the 30th here in Japan……..
September 30th, 2010 at 06:24
So glad to see everything went so well. Now I live on the east coast of the US and its 12:22 AM which means its the 30th here… WHERES THE MOVIE!!!! lol jk, but seriously must we wait much longer? lol
Any way good job guys cant wait to see yet another spectacular short from the Blender Institute!
Nathan Carl Lewis
September 30th, 2010 at 06:42
Congratulations! I’m really excited to see the film.
This waiting is killing me T_T…
September 30th, 2010 at 06:59
i wonder how many views and downloads will be at the first day?
September 30th, 2010 at 07:10
I am anxious as I wait here refreshing the page every few minutes, but I also have the time in Holland and it seems to be around 7:08 am when I am writing this, therefore, let’s let Ton have a few more minutes of sleep in, then we can enjoy it.

Can’t wait for online release
September 30th, 2010 at 08:31
I hate people that do not read posts…
expect the movie around 7pm GMT…
September 30th, 2010 at 08:48
Syron,
I do not know why you still talk of GMT(a dinosaur!). Ton said to check around UTC18, lets keep that time in UTC.
September 30th, 2010 at 08:51
This is like Christmas Eve. I look forward to waking up tomorrow morning to the smell of the only Durian that is legal to have in Thai hotel rooms.
September 30th, 2010 at 09:01
Just recieved the 3D World Magazine in the mail. Awesome images and story guys! The only thing i say is that why does William get featured in Big Buck Bunny and the Sintel articles?
September 30th, 2010 at 09:35
@JaydenB because William worked on both projects
September 30th, 2010 at 09:43
@D: esperanto!
lemme check
@J.: all comments welcomed and appreciated! and after all the work and aaaall the talks I had with Colin about the story I think it is fair to say nothing is in the film without reason…. just watch it 32 times and you’ll see
September 30th, 2010 at 09:50
ok, i will watch 32 times.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:01
Wahoo, I’m really excited to see what people’s reactions are going to be! As Colin’s brother, I guess I’ve followed along the process with somewhat of an insider’s view, but I gotta say, the Durian team has produced something stunning.
I remember when Colin and I first downloaded Blender, ages like 13 & 15, and he made this little render of a street lamp and a brick building… at the time I didn’t really get what all the hype was about, but after seeing this, I get it. Never thought he’d be directing an animated short like this one, seven years later. So proud ^_^
Congrats Durian team! You did good.
~Alex
September 30th, 2010 at 10:03
…I watched Elephants Dream about 32 times and I still dont know what its about.
I read 32 different interpretations and I dont think anyone else know either.
That has to be genius story telling. Its like all stories and no stories together.
I hope this one is easier for people like myself to follow
September 30th, 2010 at 10:47
Will there be any (English or French) subtitles? I would like to translate it into Slovak language, so already existing subtitles would help me much. BTW. It is also useful for Czech subtitles – Slovak and Czech are very similar languages, so if someone translates it into one of them, translation to the other will be VERY easy…
September 30th, 2010 at 11:08
Looks like it’s going to be available online at 4am on the 1st of October here in Australia due to timezone differences. Would be nice if it was released at 12 UTC so we could watch it on the 30th.
September 30th, 2010 at 11:57
@dobz:
nice try – but i don’t think this will work
@Gu Waijeun:
yes – and as with christmas, we’re lurking for any chance to get a glimpse of the gift.
Although I know release is announced now for about UTC 18, i check the sintel site several times /hour, maybe they finish earlyer?
(in the end, it will turn out even later…)
September 30th, 2010 at 12:09
Is it a coincident that today is the student union day at my university so that all my lectures are cancelled and I can sit here and press F5 all day instead? I think not!!
September 30th, 2010 at 12:10
@Big Fan:
Well, even when you don’t get the full meaning of Sintel, it’s still an high-paced emotional ride!
But I’m not gonna say very much for now, just watch it a few times and feel free to comment then!
September 30th, 2010 at 12:13
In France too, some people are waiting with me !
F5 …. F5 … F5 … F. ho stop ! i don’t want to take down the Website
September 30th, 2010 at 12:17
Okay, i’m here…..SSS (Showered and Shaved), had breakfast, having a cup of Yorkshire Tea with some biscuits and am currently extending my index finger to the generally underused F5.
Feel free to hit me with the film anytime, ok UTC 18 if you must.
@Colin off on a tangent here but when is you short film (En Route) gonna be released?
September 30th, 2010 at 12:21
@maddes: I wasn’t trying to get it released sooner, I was just saying.
Looks like I’ll have to set my alarm to 4am.
September 30th, 2010 at 12:28
@Dobz,
Where in australia are you?
what time is the release for Adelaide?
September 30th, 2010 at 12:33
Man how many hours away is it?
September 30th, 2010 at 12:40
@radiant,
Brisbane time should be about 4AM in the morning. Go and sleep, theres a *lot* of time left.
September 30th, 2010 at 12:41
Noooo, early evening! Then I am at work! D-: Aaargh!
September 30th, 2010 at 12:41
@Radiant: I live on the eastern side of Australia, release time for central Australia should be 3am, October 1st. (based off the time Ton gave in UTC)
September 30th, 2010 at 12:57
The server will probably overload as soon as it gets released, so i’d rather watch it on october 1st
Unless it’s released as a torrent, which would be nice!
September 30th, 2010 at 13:08
It’s been said already, a torrent will be available.
September 30th, 2010 at 13:14
Magically, This Durian Website has jumped to Place #1 in my Firefox “most Viewed” menue…
September 30th, 2010 at 13:20
It’s the final day
September 30th, 2010 at 13:27
omg omg omg omg omg omg omg
I’m like a little fanboy waiting for my autograf.
September 30th, 2010 at 13:50
where is the movie?
September 30th, 2010 at 13:56
I was thinking Colin being around 26 years old. He is then only 22 years old.
I also think a torrent is a great idea to avoid server problems.
September 30th, 2010 at 14:09
id like to announce today as the: “open F5 poetry day”.
all you have to do is in a short poem, talk about how F5 has helped you even though you know what time its released
cant wait!!!
September 30th, 2010 at 14:10
with google reader i dont have to press F5 LOL
September 30th, 2010 at 14:15
You know Ton, you and the team are about to cost me a shed load of cash in replacing my machine just so I can, on my 4yr old daughters order, composite her into a scene with Scales etc.
On the up side, what a justification to pass before the dreaded ‘finance minister’ aka ‘her indoors’.
regards all
TFS
September 30th, 2010 at 14:15
Maybe next time, if we talking about “Date” and “Time” of some deadline, we must specify which timezone that we refer to. Maybe GMT or simply UTC +18. People that located in most east timezone will “suffer” to wait much longer…
September 30th, 2010 at 14:45
Very great project!!!
I can´t wait longer for the online release
Cheers
ubuntuxx
September 30th, 2010 at 15:00
It’s 8:00PM at Vietnam now. Still waiting…
September 30th, 2010 at 15:13
8:00AM in US. Strange numbers rolling on side of blog… wonder what that means?
September 30th, 2010 at 15:21
Someone know what´s the Sintel release official time?
Whaiting for download and watch…
saludos
adié
September 30th, 2010 at 15:23
OK, Blendernation says that : “I’m hearing rumours that the expected release time for Sintel is 1800 UTC (click here to see what time that is for you). Be warned though: everybody is still hard at work to make it happen, so it may be earlier, or later, or even tomorrow!”
Saludos

September 30th, 2010 at 15:28
Lol broken countdown timer fail.
September 30th, 2010 at 15:39
@ Davis: it ain’t broken
Community wanted a counter!
this one pretty much sums how much we know about the actual release hour, it’s crazy times!
I know is not fun, so removed it, but is not that we have a magic “publish” button, we have to do a lot of tests so is unknown still, continue your normal life, news will come!
September 30th, 2010 at 15:45
Take your time to get everything ready but we are eagerly awaiting doing some modeling in Blender while waiting
September 30th, 2010 at 15:47
Sorry, but I´m kinda disappionted…If it comes at 18:00 UTC it´s useless for me.
September 30th, 2010 at 15:56
@Pablo: What are you testing? If it plays on Windows 95?
Eagerly waiting, notwithstanding I’ve already seen the film twice.
September 30th, 2010 at 15:58
Yeah, I am going to jail at 18:00 UTC, and will not have internet privileges for 5 years… so it is a bit useless for me too. A 17:48 release time would be perfect, I could probably hold off the police that long.
September 30th, 2010 at 16:04
But Gu, you’d miss the credits!
September 30th, 2010 at 16:06
Gu? What did you commit?? :O
Maybe can someone bring a portable DVD player during a visiting moment?
September 30th, 2010 at 16:07
And you think youve got problems (Jail hah), ive got to cook the tea at 18:00 UTC
TFS
September 30th, 2010 at 16:07
When the police finally do bust in, I’m sure they’ll be more intrigued with the epic film the Gu will be watching, than apprehending him… regardless of the crime.
September 30th, 2010 at 16:13
Please can you make it at least 15:00 UTC? I want to see it today!
September 30th, 2010 at 16:14
Hm, …
http://media.xiph.org/sintel/
Service Temporarily Unavailable;-)
September 30th, 2010 at 16:18
Congrats on the premiere!
Can’t wait to see it.
Both happy and proud that you folks manage to not only pull off this cool short film, but rewrote a software package in the midst of it. LOL!
Thanks to Ton, the Sintel Team, the Blender Foundation, and the Blender community (testy bug squashers) for all the hard work.
Much appreciated. Now get some sleep!
September 30th, 2010 at 16:33
210th!
Can’t wait!
September 30th, 2010 at 16:36
So I think there´s no use in seeing it today…
September 30th, 2010 at 16:39
“Alright… should we put the downloads up?”
“Noo no. Not just yet. You know it will only be a minute or two until they crash the server.”
September 30th, 2010 at 16:45
well… *spoiler* downloads will be ready in some minutes, at least they’re uploading the 2k versions… hehe…
September 30th, 2010 at 16:46
Syron: how can you know?
September 30th, 2010 at 16:49
If I’d tell you, the movie wouldn’t get uploaded. But everyone who does a little server administration knows how to get that information (and how to prevent these “exploits”).
September 30th, 2010 at 16:56
Syron, your the man…really! consider yourself the dude
Go ply your trade elsewhere, your not wanted here.

well
back up
September 30th, 2010 at 17:10
Nevermind, it just went down
September 30th, 2010 at 17:12
up again, but…there´s nothing on, so…it doesn´t matter…
September 30th, 2010 at 17:12
Maybe too many people constantly hitting F5?
September 30th, 2010 at 17:15
I hope they will publish the torrent links also on other sites of external servers cuz this one will most likley just crash….
September 30th, 2010 at 17:17
Um… please don’t hit media.xiph.org
We aren’t using that server.
What you see there is the trailer from months ago.
I believe the xiph dudes will be encoding a version later on, but there’s no need to punish their server now.
September 30th, 2010 at 17:19
i reccon this post will received 500 replys by the time its released online
September 30th, 2010 at 17:24
Hi,
as perhaps I said other times, I’m able to help with catalan translations for the DVD release. I will repeat… but not so much
Raimon
September 30th, 2010 at 17:25
maybe. But I hope we get a statement of the process soon, I guess that would lower the amount of comments per minute.
September 30th, 2010 at 17:27
OK then, lets add one more to reach the 500!!!
By the way, just post to say Congratulations on the finished film project!!!
Cheers!
September 30th, 2010 at 17:29
From what I see here, I pretty sure that if for some reason the online release got postponed for tomorrow or something like that, at least several hundred people would die form heart attack. (not to mention the several thousand destroyed F5 keys XD)
September 30th, 2010 at 17:31
@muddymind: Yes, and I’ll be the first one who would do both things…
September 30th, 2010 at 17:31
Who needs F5? Opera autoreload!
September 30th, 2010 at 17:37
Sintel Team, thank you very much for working on this project, and I’m very glad that it was finished / shown off before I head on off to BT for a few months.
It’ll be online when y’all get around to it, Media Conversions / setting up torrents / testing every step of the way is a very time consuming process, and us bitting at the bits isn’t going to help anything.
I’m heading out on a jog, with any luck, the testing process with be completed, and this wonderful film will be online!
<3
September 30th, 2010 at 17:38
I wouldn´t die from a heart attack, but I would get VERY angry…
September 30th, 2010 at 17:38
I’ll bet the AMS-IX will see an enormous peak on their statistics when when Sintel gets online!
September 30th, 2010 at 17:44
@Me: Who needs Opera just for auto reload? Bash FTW!
MD5=”$(wget ‘http://www.sintel.org/download/’ -O – | grep -v queries | md5sum)”; while :; do if [ "$(wget 'http://www.sintel.org/download/' -O - 2>/dev/null | grep -v queries | md5sum)" '!=' "$MD5" ]; then zenity –info –title=”Sintel” –text=’Download aviable!’; break; fi; sleep 5; done
September 30th, 2010 at 17:47
Thamior, that’s a wonderful idea … I was too lazy to go to the post office ; now you give me a good reason to !
Thanks
September 30th, 2010 at 17:48
I was getting so desperate for the premiere that I slipped off to the market and reenacted the guard fight scene with the ever deadly durian fruit. Poor price checker didn’t know what hit him.
(That is what got me in this bind with the law. Count down for the Gu’s last minutes of freedom: 1 hr 10 min 13 sec)
I can’t wait to see Durian, Mango, and Kiwi when I get out!
September 30th, 2010 at 17:54
Well Gu, time to hide somewhere!
October 1st, 2010 at 23:35
